This title sequence is set in the wee hours, somewhere between the closing time of the latest bar and the garbage trucks coming to collect. My early concepts pushed to make the city itself feel like a main character of the show, especially in the nighttime footage. I directed a night shoot capturing the quiet, still moments across the streets of Toronto, then I edited the footage against a range of temp'd music options to find the right tone. We ultimately moved away from more graphic concepts in favor of big, literal splashes of color, along with a 3D pig relevant to one of the episodes. Of everything I've worked on, this sequence changed the most from initial concept to final delivery.
