With the mysterious launch of the Big Mac with Bacon collaboration at McDonalds, alter ego was tasked with coming up with a way to animate the titles in a ‘high fashion’ style treatment. The first spot was to air during the Grammys without ever mentioning the brand to build hype and mystery. We did many rounds of exploration before ultimately treating the footage and supers with a type of glitch effect called ‘pixel sorting’. Below is one of the final spots as well as a montage of experiments I played with before landing on the final treatment.
